The setting of hotel was picturesque and quiet, near the city centre was extremely well maintained.

Magnificent and wonderful location with incredibly beautiful views just off public transport and the cliff top. Nicely furnished, good-sized room with a private bathroom, hairdryer, and bath sheets.

The à la carte restaurant is enjoyable and having a selection of eggs and meats for breakfast is a nice addition.

Lots of local food at breakfast time. The sea view and a nice size room. Picturesque location in a perfect area near to the city center and desert for dinner. Nearby Cocktail Bar - great place to chill out.

celebrating our anniversary in funchal and our stay at pestana was absolutely delightful. the lovely buildings, fabulous gardens, and amazing views exceeded our expectations. the staff were polite and friendly, the breakfast had a huge variety, and the location was perfect for exploring downtown funchal. a truly memorable and enjoyable experience.

Old plumbing.

The proximity to the old town - walking distance approx. 20 minutes, rooms facing the garden and therefore relatively quiet despite the city area.

Breakfast room a bit cramped for the number of people. One sits very close to the neighbouring table.

The hotel has very beautiful and well-kept green areas with many flowers. A beautiful pool complex is surrounded by palm trees and other exotic plants. Our room had a view of the lake, was big enough and had good beds. There are many restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity.

The breakfast was monotonous and only for English guests. The coffee had nothing to do with coffee, it didn't taste good from the vending machines.

The location of the hotel was excellent, with small supermarkets and a supermarket within walking distance. The breakfast was savory and plentiful, offering excellent meals.
